This weekend, Southern Ontario, including my city experienced a big storm that dumped not snow but freezing rain. That converted roads into skating rinks and many people were confined to their homes on the last weekend before Christmas as driving conditions were dangerous. We also had to abandon our plans to visit our friend’s 50th birthday part. Over 250,000 homes have lost power and will have to fight freezing home for the next day or two, until the power is restored. However, on a positive note, trees looked beautiful after the rain water froze on bare branches. Here are a few pictures describing the view around our home.
